Annabelle & Annabelle Otherworldly Meats

A game made for Ludum Dare 44: Your Life is Currency.

Two months ago, you made the life-changing decision of becoming an exotic meats butcher. Not that being a normal butcher didn’t make good money, but it was KINDA BORING selling the same meats day in and day out. So you moved into a new cottage, set up a cozy little house/shop, and quickly signed a binding contract with a shady underworldlian chief. Full permission to hunt in an underworld pocket dimension, in exchange for nothing less than your soul. At least, that’s what the contract said, but so far they haven’t actually been able to catch you.

Today, though, the chief has returned with news that might change that: they’ve started to tax the borders. You gotta pay up every time you cross. That’ll certainly dampen the income a bit, and there’s always the possibility you go broke on the wrong side of the line. But money ain’t gonna make itself…
